Holy fucking shit.
Last week, I was eternally grateful and tried to thank all the sites that shared the silly video we made, "The Internet’s Problem with TV Wives" but I somehow missed one; Upworthy.
I’ve written an obnoxious amount of tweets and posts in the past about how much I hate Upworthy and particularly their insulting and misleading headline style. So, it’s only fair that perhaps the worst and most Upworthy-ish headline of all time should be for something I made.
Look at that.
"She Did Everything She Was Supposed To Do. The Least These Cops Could Do Is Show Some Sympathy."
That is the headline they used to describe a comedy video about Breaking Bad fans. No hint that it’s satire in any way. Just two sentences that make it seem more like a news story about the Mayville rape case than a silly sketch.
I’m so very torn. On one hand, I’m so happy and grateful for every single person who gets to see something I make and I can’t say thanks enough to anyone who shares my work. Also, the accompanying article which links to context and uses both my version and links to the FOD version is great.
On the other hand… what the fuck.
